Active Design for Students and Families!

What: Build your own city block with the Center for Architecture Foundation (CFAF) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). In this free hands-on pilot workshop, families will learn how neighborhood, street and build design can be used to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle. Working as a design team, families will redesign a city block to create a space where activities such as walking, biking, outdoor play, and using public transportation are encouraged. Children age 5 and up are welcome, accompanied by an adult:

Where: Harlem YMCA, 180 West 135th Street, Manhattan
